Why directors do different things

What are the factors that influence how a director presents a scene? Why do you think different directors see things so differently?
Directors see things so differently because they each have their own perspective. Things like personality, and morals all go into how you perceive things. Plays and stories are things that people can tweak because the stories are flexible. an example of this is how Macbeth has been adapted to many different settings throughout time. because stories have this flexibility it gives directors the ability to let their imagination go and add their own little tweaks to them. What tweaks people add differ on their own personal taste. if someone is into mafia like stuff they could make Macbeth a tale of a mafia family. overall, plays and stories can also leave people with many different conclusions, because whats left unsaid can be just as important as what was.
